In Windows you can install optional drivers for scroll wheel enhancements and a nicer volume meter display as a consequence. My Logitech Unifying Receiver with wireless K800 illuminated keyboard and wireless Performance MX mouse work flawlessly in both Windows and Linux out of the box.
